My strategy skills were honed in 4 years at Bain & Company, the global strategy consulting firm, where I helped some of the world's most iconic companies to become more valuable. I have worked for small companies for 20 years and know how hard it can be to raise funds and bring innovations to commercial reality. I can help organisations to create income streams, establish partnerships and attract investment.

I have played a major role in the development of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) industry, in the UK and globally. I am a member of the Jet Zero Taskforce Expert Group, appointed by the UK Government to help the country reach its net zero aviation goal. I have been a speaker at many global conferences, contributed to published reports, chaired the Aviation Working Group of the Renewable Transport Fuel Association and given evidence to support policy development in the UK, the EU and elsewhere.

Including 12 years with ExxonMobil and 13 years with Velocys, a global leader in sustainable fuels technology. Brought over 70 new products to market, and led a multi-faceted, billion-dollar project from inception to Front End Engineering Design. I offer in-depth expertise in structuring and developing projects, investment cases and applications for public funding. 

Known for my collaborative and inclusive style, I combine technical and professional competence with an ability to build strong relationships that underpin long term influence and impact. I work with stakeholders throughout government, politics, business, finance, the academic sector and civil society, to create robust developments with broad support. 

I am a PhD chemist by training, and I have seen what happens when technology developments lose sight of the underlying science - or the customer. My understanding of both science and business helps clients to be on firm foundations and to drive to strong commercial outcomes. 

I have been a company director for over 20 years, and advised the Boards of several major public companies. I am deeply committed to ethics, diversity and inclusion, as well as to the environmental cause that I serve, and I can help make these work on a practical, human level.
